Rock Climbing at Roadside at the Red

We went on this camping trip to rock climb, but it ended up being too rainy and cold, so we decided to go hike around where we would climb if we could. Then we decided to act like we were climbing and get some good pictures doing it, so here we are climbing a 5.13, aren't we awesome.

I am so good i can climb with a baby on my back. How buff am I?

And here is Mel easily taking on this 5.13 climb, it may not look like it but she is actually 100 ft up in the air. She is amazing!
Very few have been able to finish this climb and here is Jay taking it on, he is an inspiration to us all.And here is Brooklyn taking on the first climb of her career. She has potential. I think she is going to make it very far in the rock climbing world. (she kind of looks like a bug that lives on that rock, she just looks like she belongs there)

Evie is truly the happiest baby ever, even though it was cold and rainy she remained this happy the whole time. She is our little blessing; truly our gift from God.

Hiking the Natural Bridge with the Talbots at Red River Gorge, KY

This is the tight squeeze you have to get through to go back to the bottom of Natural Bridge. The poor daddies barely squeezed through. Mel and I made it through just fine. As you can see Mel was even able to turn around and smile and the guys are turning around as far as they could, which wasn't much. It was extremely muddy and lots of fun. Good times. Oh and that is Evie under the sweater on Andy's back just in case you thought he had a hunch back.

Here is Lennix and Brooklyn chillin on a rock after the long hike up to the top of Natural Bridge. They have become the best of buddies. After a camping trip like this one you'd have to be. They were tough little toddlers working through cold weather and lots of rain, they are troopers.

On our spring break we decided to go camping and rock climbing with our good friends the Talbots. It ended up being kind of chilly and rainy most of the time but we still had a lot of fun, it was just good to be outside. We hiked Natural Bridge, which was a wet slippery slope to the top but we had so much fun. Oh and by the way if you recognize that we are missing a child don't worry she isn't off the cliff behind us, we just left Maddie at home with Aunt Mandy.

Easter

Here is everyone dying eggs Saturday morning. It was just too much fun the girls loved it.

This is Brooklyn attempting to wink, she has become obsessed with winking lately, she winks at everyone.

Here are our three beautiful girls in their matching Easter dresses. They love their dresses because they twirl (or as Brooklyn says it, "they wiggle good"). We went down to Dayton for Easter this year. The girls were so excited to spend Easter with Nana and Papa, and all of there cousins. Saturday we dyed eggs and had an Easter egg hunt. The girls got kites, bubbles, cards, and candy in their baskets, they spent all of Saturday playing with their new toys. We had the Easter bunny come on Saturday, so that we could spend Sunday focusing on more spiritual things.

Easter Sunday ended up being the most beautiful day. The girls loved playing outside in their new dresses. All they wanted to do was twirl around in them. They are so beautiful, well at least we think so. Evie just wanted to play with the grass, she found it fascinating, i only got her to look up at me for one shot and this is it.

Tennessee Trip

We got to visit TN over spring break. It was fun, Andy's dad just moved to a new house and it is like kid heaven. They have a cute country house on three acres that is filled with beautiful trees. They have a pool. Brooklyn loved climbing the trees and going out to catch bugs. The country is where Brooklyn belongs, she loves everything about it. The dog wood trees are so beautiful this time of year it was wonderful to see. Maddie on the other hand hated the trees and did not want in them at all, that was pretty funny to see. They have a dog named Jill that Brooklyn befriended, but Maddie was terrified of Jill. So i guess Brooklyn was meant for the country and Maddie was not, not yet anyway.

Papa took the girls out on a ride in a wagon hooked up to the lawn mower. Brooklyn thought it was great, but Maddie was too scared to get in. She really missed out because it was a thrill.

The girls got to play with aunt Rachel, which is there favorite part of visiting TN. They follow her around everywhere, the poor girl.
