Miller's - The High Life: March 2014

We had the best Saturday last week. We spent the morning at the temple watching some friends be sealed in the temple and then we went hiking at Radnar Lake in Nashville. It was a gorgeous day. We absolutely love the Thayns. They are two brothers and their families who also work with Andy, so not only do we get to be friends with these amazing people Andy also gets to work with them.

Junie B Jones

Brooklyn had to dress up as her favorite book character for school so she chose Junie B Jones. I think she made the perfect Junie, she looked so cute.

Daddy came home

Andy was away from us for two months in training. That is a long time for these kids not to see their dad, they were so excited when he came home. We told them that daddy wasn't coming home until Saturday but he surprised them and came home Friday night. That Saturday we spent the whole day just enjoying being together as a family. We ate a huge breakfast and watched a movie in our bed and then did our favorite family activity which is hiking. Man, do I love having this man home.

Carmedics The Big Dent Company

First Day of his new career as a Carmedic man. This career change all came to pass last summer. Andy wasn't finding happiness in the job he was doing, he was quickly realizing he doesn't want to be stuck behind a desk for the rest of his career so he started searching for another option that would be better. He thought about going back to school, getting a masters, or going to law school, or something else drastic. We were praying for Andy to know what to do when I randomly started getting close to a lady in our ward named Kara Thayn. I noticed her husband was working in their garage on a car outside whenever I came over, and they have a very nice home and seemed to be doing well for themselves, so I asked "what does your husband do" she told me about Carmedics, and I immediately thought that fit Andy's personality to a T. I told Andy about it and he seemed very interested. We researched it more and started talking to the Thayns about it a lot. Andy felt really good about it but I was a little skeptical at first. It was a big change that involved one very hard year before you start making good money. But after a lot of prayer, fasting, and going to the temple we knew this was the path for us, so we took the leap. And so far he loves it and we are very happy with the life style. I am just so happy to see Andy really like what he is doing.

Our First Getaway Alone Since our Honeymoon

Andy is starting a new job with Carmedics and so he had to go away for training for two months in St Louis. Valentines Day weekend was a little over half way through his training and so I decided to come visit him. Andy's Dad and Step mom bravely decided to take the kids and let us spend an entire weekend alone. This sadly has not happened since our honeymoon due to being busy and having no money. But we decided to just go for it this time. We stayed at a nice hotel, swam in the indoor pool, ate out everyday, went to the movies, had a couples massage, slept in, ate junk, toured around St Louis, and had a wonderful time. It was much needed. We took more pictures but Andy has them so I will add more later.
