The Annual "Fun Run" to Raise Money for Their School

Meeting Reba Mcentire

I went to a farewell lunch for one of my church friends, we went to a popular local restaurant called the Chocolate Covered Strawberry.  While we were eating we see someone coming up to the restaurant and we all stop and take a double look and ask, is that Reba Mcentire? It was her, she comes is with some handsome young guy and walks right by us, I'm freaking out and texting my family.  After she finishes her meal she walks by us again and this time she stops and says hey, we tell her we love her and we are big fans, she thanks us and is super nice, and me being the lame person that I am snaps a picture of her while she is saying goodbye to us.  Reba's house is only a few minutes away from mine, I love living in Nashville.  Reba and I are close friends now I can feel it.

Homemade Slip and Slide, endless fun in the backyard

Last Day at the Pool, we will miss you

We loved our summer at kay kay and papa's pool.  All that swimming made my kids little pros.  Evie went from a kid who doesn't leave the steps to swimming completely on her own and jumping off the diving board.  Evie got a little too brave though and tried to do a front flip off of the side of the pool and hit her head pretty hard, she didn't even cry, she just laughed, that girl is crazy.  Benson went from not even wanting to touch the water to a two year old that jumps off the diving board.  Maddy went from a floaty swimmer to learning to swim all on her own and can now swim to the bottom and touch the bottom of the pool.  And Brooklyn went from already being an excellent swimmer to a kid learning to dive perfectly off the diving board and doing front flips off the diving board.  We love the pool, we will miss it.

The End of the Binki

Benson turned two and needed to brake the binki habit so Andy helped him gather all of his binkis and had Benson cut them all up and put them in the trash can himself.  It worked like a charm, he asked for them and was sad for a few days but then it was over and he is binki free.  I would find him peaking in the trash can a few times after we did it just to see if he could find them again, it was so funny.

First Day of First and Second Grade

First Day of School.  Maddy in First Grade, Brooklyn in Second.  And its their first day at their new school Union Elementary STEM School.
Way too much phone with my new phone picture editor.
