My Beautiful Girls

I just liked these pictures so i put them up. This hat is huge.

Evie's 1st Birthday Party

We celebrated Evie's birthday on Thanksgiving Day since that was the only time when Andy was around all week to be apart of it. We had it at my parents house down in Dayton. She was surrounded by lots of family and she loved the attention.

She was such a lady about it, just taking one little lick at a time, at first anyways.

It took her a little while but she got more and more messy the longer she went.

Her and her cousins.

More Family

On her way to steal a piece of pie to add to her feast.

She was successful.

I am amazed she didn't throw up she ate so much, it was great.

That's My Girl.

All Cleaned Up. Life Is Good.

Brooklyn's 4th Birthday

For Brooklyn's Birthday this year we took her and a couple friends to go see "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" in the theater. We were quite a bunch, it was Andy, Mel, and I taking on 6 little kids all on our own. We went and bought candy before hand. The kids were great, they all really liked the movie. This is them holding up their movie tickets because i forgot to take pictures at the theater, i was so mad at myself.

Waiting for cake.

Lighting the candles.

Being the crafty homemaker that I am I went to Kroger and bought an ice cream cake just for her.

Opening Presents.

Her friends know her too well. Traedon got her a sea monster discovery channel book and Addy got her a set of pens that look like flowers and a notebook, and Kyree got her an apron and ingredients to make cookies, which are all her favorite things. Good job guys, thanks for the gift!!

Jensen didn't care much for the gift opening he just wanted the boxes.

Evie liked the gifts also.

Brooklyn's favorite gift though was dress ups from Grandma of course.

Whats Up With My Brothers

Jared

Jared loves his mission in Montana. Yes, its like he is in another country for a city skater boy like himself but he loves it. He is actually out on some reservations right now preaching the word.

He has grown a lot on his mission, but some things will never change, he is still just Jared.

Palmer

Palmer got his mission call!! I am so proud of him for working so hard to go on a mission, even though the whole concept is terrifying for him. I admire him so much.

He had to sit and wait to open it so that everyone could get there. We drove down from Columbus just to be there, it was so exciting.

The girls making their last predictions on the map before he opens it. Everyone we know made a prediction on that map. There was a sticky tab and a name by every prediction. I predicted that he would go to Ireland so that he could go join his people the Leprechauns, but i guess he isn't ready for that quite yet.

He is going to the Rapid City, North Dakota Mission. He is a mission neighbor to our other brother Jared who is in Montana. He is so excited.

Duffy

My brother Duffy is in an amazing show choir that are state champions. They have a great show this year. And i was so proud of him i decided to blog about it. He has the first main solo in their routine as you can see in the first picture, and he is an awesome dancer so he is always in the front row. You rock Duffy. Some people think that only dorks are in show choir but not at this school, well except for Duffy of course. haha

Duffy was also in the big solo competition and won first place for the men, and his best friend (really their together but whatever) Megan won first place for the women, they are one talented couple. I'm so proud of you Duff.

Duffy also just got his eagle. Doesn't he look cute in his little uniform. We were there to cheer him on and my family even sang the national anthem for it. We are proud of you duff.

Going to the Air Force Museum with Papa

This is back blogging a little bit, but i got these pictures and just had to share them. A month ago my dad took all three older granddaughters to the air force museum to see a reenactment that they were putting on for World War 1. They had so much fun, but as you can see from this picture Lana and Kenna had an OK time, but Brooklyn got so into it she went around acting like a German fighter pilot for weeks after.

These were some of the actors they had there. Everyone was dressed up like this just hanging out at the museum it was really cool.

The day after this they actually got to go to an air show they put on with real World War 1 planes flying everywhere. That is when Brooklyn became a German. She wanted to be a pilot. We asked her why she wanted to be a German and she said, "because I'm the bad guy that shoots everyone down." This is probably not a good sign, i hope she grows out of that. My dad is getting her a World War 1 airplane for her birthday, my historian dad couldn't be more proud.

"How to Host a Murder"

This Halloween Jay and Mel decided to throw a "How to Host a Murder" party. Our particular game was called "An Affair to Dismember." I have never participated in one of these before and didn't know what to expect. We had the coolest couples there and it was SOOOO much fun. We've decided that this is going to have to be an annual event!

Mel set the mood perfectly, this is her house when we walked in, the next picture is with a flash. The game said that "if your home resembles and old scary mansion, then decorating for the party will be easy." Since the party takes place at Castle Von Morgue Mel thought the body bags were appropriate. It was so cool, good job Mel. There was spooky music playing and everything.

The Menu
These were one of the items on the menu. They were so appropriate!

Us playing the game

Each of the Couples: Madame Aretha Garlique (Trinette) and Balihi the Monster of Rogersandhammerstein (Nate) You guys looked perfect!!

The Prince of Dimness (Peter) and Dr. Angela Deth, DDS (Sherrida) All I have to say is shady, shady, shady!

The Mummy of Aldrinktotat (Andy) and Glumda the Witch of Depressed (Tabby) Always good to go into business with friends!!

Hannibal Sheckter (Jay) and Lizzy Bourdeoux (The whole event was her engagement party)

Mel had to get a picture of her 10 caret diamond. Too bad her fiance was murdered at her engagement party by her real life husband!!

All the Suspects!! Thank you for such a memorable night!!
