The Mini Nutcracker: We love that Nashville puts on a mini nutcracker for kids, its a shortened version of the real show and they sell bake goods and water beforehand and make it quite an event for all the kids. My girls loved except when the mail dancer came out in skin tight white tights and the girls couldn't stop giggling. Dirty girls, but it was still a good time.
Gallatin Christmas Parade. Our ward was apart of the city Christmas Parade this year. The theme was a candy land Christmas, we decided to make a Nativity float, with it being Christmas and all, and put a sign on our float saying "the sweetest day ever." Andy was a Sheppard. But we were disqualified from the float contest because we didn't follow the theme. We were the only float that celebrated the real meaning of Christmas and we were disqualified. This is the world we live in now, its so sad, but on the bright side we passed out hundreds of pass along cards and got our name out into the community and had a really good time.
Inman Family Christmas Party. Andy has an uncle who is a pretty intense hunter and his son is a taxidermist, so that leads to a house full of stuffed animals he has killed. We have mixed feelings when we visit his home of wanting to cry or be very impressed. The kids thought it was fun though, they felt like they were in the natural history museum.
