What a Good Daddy

The girls asked Daddy to paint their nails and being the wonderful Daddy that he is he actually did it. They had so much fun, even Evie was up on the table watching very intently. It was a very cute site I just had to take a picture.

Brooklyn is actually happy in this picture its just lately she has been making this look in every picture so I asked her why she isn't smiling and looking happy she said "this is my pretty pose" apparently this is what she thinks pretty girls look like in pictures, this is not good.

Of course Andy convinced them to have dark blue and red finger nails, he had to make a manly statement somewhere.

A Week in Pittsburgh

"It's my party and I cry if I want to" Maddie did not want to wear her birthday hat, but i just had to get one picture with it so we kind of forced it. It made for one funny picture. We spent the whole week in Pittsburgh with my sister this last week. Andy had Fed-Ex training there so we just decided to tag along. We came up on Maddie's Birthday. So my sister planned a little party.

The theme was yellow, since that is Maddie's favorite color in the whole wide world. She points out yellow cars and yellow signs. If you ask her what her favorite anything is she just says "yellow" even if it doesn't make sense at all. Her aunt Jo Jo made her a yellow bracelet and Maddie hasn't taken it off yet, and its been months. The only second to yellow is the color green.

Maddie got two cakes, one of the cakes got destroyed before the party so my sister made this yellow one to replace it. But we used the half destroyed cake to put the candles on since this one was so pretty.

My sister went all out for Maddie with the yellow, she loved it.

Mandy and Andy

Opening Presents.

A soccer ball, its green because we couldn't find a yellow one, we looked everywhere. Maddie is mostly girly girl except for when it comes to balls and running, this girl has endless energy.

Tinker bell movie of course. Maddie loves tinker bell because she has yellow hair.

Maddie's other love in life besides yellow is dancing. She asks me to put music on for her at least once a day so that she can dance. So we got her some dancing ballet slippers, she was so excited.

Maddie and Sadie are best friends. They are a lot alike, which means they both drive their mothers crazy most of the time, but they are also full of life and fun.

Playing in all the snow. There is a lot of snow in Pittsburgh right now. It was almost too much for the little girls, because it was so deep they could barely walk so they did not last long.

She looks utterly bored.

The older girls sledding with me. The hill was so steep, it was way too hard to walk up it too many times, so we just went a couple times, but the couple we did do were awesome because they would get going so fast. And as you can see in the next picture they got going a little too fast and crashed.

It was an interesting week in Pittsburgh because it seemed like everything kept going wrong. We thought we would be able to have both cars so that we could go to a couple museums during the week but it snowed too much and the bus system was closed so the the husbands had the cars all day everyday. So while we were stuck indoors, it snowed too much so playing out in it wasn't even fun. We had a preschool day and Mandy and I got to talk a lot which we love, but then it got even worse. Evie threw up one night and then the next night Lydie did, then me and Kenna did. We were passing around a 12 hour throw up bug and it was spreading fast. We were all healthy by the time Friday came around but we knew that it was only a matter of time before someone else got sick. So we knelt down together as a family and prayed that we could make it through one day with out anyone getting sick. Friday was the only day the husbands got off early and we would be able to go to a museum. So the lord answered our prays and we were able to go to the museum and to dinner afterward, but the second we got home two more girls threw up, the lord gave us a tiny window and it made the trip perfect. We had a lot of crazy things happen, but a lot of blessings too and I am still glad we made this trip.

Brooklyn's favorite animal is a T-Rex, so she flipped out when she saw her first real T-Rex. This one was the first T-Rex ever found, it was found in Montana.

They got to dig for their own dinosaur bones too, they loved that, I think Andy had just as much fun as the kids did.

The whole museum was full of life size, totally real looking animals. Brooklyn was in heaven.

This was the coolest museum I have ever seen, and my sister says that Pittsburgh is full of them, I can't wait to come again and see more.

Silly Evie

Evie is just full of life these days. She is starting to have her own little personality and quite an attitude. She only says about 15 words but just by her sound affects and how she nods her head at us you know exactly what she is trying to say. She is also the happiest baby ever. She is always smiling. As you can see in these pictures there was not one picture I took where she was not smiling, she loves to take pictures.

This is how her hair looked when she woke up, so i just had to take a picture of it, it was spiking out every which way.

This is Evie's favorite new pass time, she is always picking her nose, we try so hard to get her to stop but she just can't resist. This is not very lady like, but she sure is cute.

First Big Snow Day

Here is Evie in her full snow gear. She looks like a pink marshmallow. Thank you Nana for making her hat and gloves, they fit great and kept her very warm.

Their all ready to go. Evie looks so funny.

All piled up on the snow eating the snow, mmm.

We had so much fun playing in the snow that day. We had like 15in. I think Andy and I were the ones who had the most fun though, the girls sat in the snow and watched Daddy and I wrestle each other in the snow and tackle each other to the ground. We even did front flips down a hill. Maddie and Evie didn't last too long but Brooklyn acted as though it wasn't cold at all. She stayed outside with daddy after the rest of us went in and went down the slide over and over again, because it was so slippery it would shoot her out of the end and land her in the snow. She even tried this head first and went head first into the snow, that still didn't faze her she wanted to do it again. That girl is crazy. Now that we have had our fun though we are ready for it to get warm soon.
