My 30th birthday celebrations

My birthday celebrations started the Friday before my birthday when Andy took me on a date to dinner and shopping, he bought me new running clothes. Then on the next day on Saturday, 3 of my closest friends kidnapped me from my kids soccer games and surprised me by taking me out to lunch at the chocolate covered strawberry, then to the salon for pedicures, and then ending it all with shopping, where they bought be new shoes. I felt so loved I almost couldn't handle it. And on top of it all when I got home Mel's package for my birthday was on my doorstep. I have been blessed with the most incredible friends. And it wasn't even my birthday yet. Sunday we had dinner with Karen and rocky. And then Monday the actual day of my birthday. Andy and I had to take a last minute trip to Cincinnati, so I got to spend my birthday with my mom and family. The lord has truly blessed me with so much love. I feel so blessed. It made turning 30 fun.

Rachel thought of me when she saw this shirt, and bought it for my birthday.  It suits me perfectly, I love trees!!!!

I got to baby sit the bradford girls on my birthday, and payment was I was the first one to find out the sex of their new baby coming soon. They are having their first BOY, now the bradfords will match the millers

Brooklyn's engineering project

Brooklyn was assigned about two months ago to do an engineering project. Her topic was light and so we looked up on Pinterest a good plant and sunlight project, and started growing a plant, well a day before the project was due, the plant died and the project was ruined, so I had to switch Into super mom mode and Andy had to switch into super dad, we had one night to start a project from scratch that was suppose to take months to plan. Andy found a great experiment with light using refraction, brook drew the pictures, I printed out pics and made them look nice and stuck them to a tri folder. About 10:30 at night we finished it. We were so proud of our selves that I told Brooklyn I didn't care what grade she got, she accomplished something great by just pulling this off. I was already super proud of her. She memorized her presentation the morning of and was on her way. I picked her up that afternoon and was scared to ask how it all went. Turns out she got into the top 3 of her class. Three kids won 1st place in her class and went on to be judged against the other 4th graders. She didn't win overall but she won in her class. It was a bloomin miracle. That's the power of family joining together to accomplish great things. Brooklyn is my hero.
